Students who plan to attend Gaston College for the 2003/2004 academic year and major in art are encouraged to apply for The Jeanne Rauch Art Scholarship through the Gaston College Foundation.
The Jeanne Rauch Art Scholarship honors Jeanne Rauch for her many contributions to the development and appreciation of art in North Carolina. It provides two awards of $750 each for students in the Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) program. Funding comes from The Rauch Family Foundation.
Selection is based on artistic talent and financial need.
Students wishing to be considered for this award must satisfy all Gaston College admissions requirements. Candidates for the Rauch Scholarships must complete a Gaston College Foundation Scholarship application, provide an essay of 25 words or less explaining their career plans and why their are seeking a degree in art, and submit three (3) pieces of art in any media.
Scholarship applications are available on the Gaston College website at www.gaston.edu Applications are also available in the Gaston College Financial Aid office on the Dallas campus, in the Dean’s office on the Lincoln campus, or by calling (704) 922-6511.
Applications and works of art should be delivered to the Gaston College Foundation, Room 107 of the Beam Administration Building on the Dallas Campus by Wednesday, March 31.
