Gaston Dance, Incorporated is the governing body for Gaston Dance Theatre and The School of Gaston Dance Theatre. Gaston Dance Theatre continues to serve a cultural need of the community by creating and/or presenting a repertoire of classical and contemporary dance works by various choreographers. It is a regional dance company run according to the rules established by the National Association of Regional Ballet. The school of Gaston Dance Theatre offers professional quality dance training which allows every student to gain correct insight and experience in the art of dance. All dance instructors are professional; i.e. have performed professionally, are graduates of professional schools and/or have college degrees in dance. Students from all levels of the school may perform in productions staged by Gaston Dance Theatre and for community and civic events.

                 “Fairy Tale Ballet Camp”

 

June 12-June 16 August I 4-August 18 Ages 3-9 year olds.......

Deadline to reg. June 5 and August 7

Students learn creative movement and basic ballet terms and have fun dancing with Fairy Tale themes.

3 &4 year olds attend from 9:15-10:00 and 6-9 year aids attend from 10:00-12:00.

There is a classroom performance on Friday.

Ages 3-5 Cost: $50.00

Ages 6-9 Cost $80.00



Pilates:

We will also be offering Pilates June 12th-I 6th from, 9:15-1 0:00.

If you ore a parent of a Fairy Tale Ballet participant, you can register for 5 Pilates classes by just adding $25 to the $50 camp fee.

For non-parents it is $50 for Pilates,

“I Wanna Dance”


June 19-June22 Ages 6-18 years.

Have you ever wanted to learn ballet, jazz, modern, or tap dance? This camp offers beginning and intermediate level students a chance to learn about all four disciplines.

Each student receives three one hour classes each day.

This is far all ages.

Times are 5:00 pm— 8:00 pm.

 “Musical Theatre Camp”


June 26th-29th Ages 6-I 8 years.

Are you an actor that needs to learn some dancing skills?

Do you love Grease or Bob Fosse?If so, this camp is for you.

We will offer beginning and intermediate level classes covering tap, movement for actors, fosse style jazz, dancing with props and speaking on stage.

This is for all ages! Times are 5:00 pm— 8:00 pm.

 “Mommy and Me”


 

 “Mommy and Me” June 19—June 22 Non-walkers (3—14 months).

Deadline to reg, June 12.

Moms that want to work out and still have quality interaction with your baby this class is for you. We will exercise, sing songs, do finger plays, massage your baby while moving to fun music.

We will provide mats. Please bring carriers.

This will be a one hour a day class for five days, The times will run 9:00-10:00 am and 10:00-11:00 am.

 “Christmas in July” July l0-l3


 

12 years and up (Students en pointe).

Deadline to reg. June 26 Students will learn Waltz of the Snow flakes and Waltz of the Flowers from The famous ballet, ‘The Nutcracker.”

We will also play games, watch videos, and drink cocoa! .

There may even be a visit from Ole St. Nick.

There will be a classroom showing for parents the last day. The camp will run from 5:00-7:30 pm.

Students will /earn the Party Children March and side roles from the famous ballet, The Nutcracker.

We will also play games, watch videos, and drink cocoa!

There may even be a visit from Ole St Nick. There will be a classroom showing for parents the lost day.

The camp will run from 5:00-7:30 pm.
